Shreya’s actual name is Girijalakshmi. She is a photo-shy, sweet, bubbly, homely, cricket player, KTM freak and the coolest Eddie. She prides herself on her leg strength because she used to skate. She makes sure she has told everyone on this planet how strong her legs are. She loves what most people despise, Kashaya. She is our in-house pasta chef (however, I’ve never got an opportunity to eat it yet). She is a foodie and has the deepest love for marshmallows.
The royal fruit according to her is pineapples and so her nickname for herself is pineapples! She lives in a bubble (her own words) and protects herself from ‘things’ she is afraid of or doesn’t like to face. An example of this is when all the eddies were emotional about seniors graduating, our kind and gentle Rey said, ‘Don’t pop my bubble!!’. Being a national level skater, she believes she has exhausted her share of glory when she was small. If you hear anyone use ‘macha’ in every sentence, you know it’s Rey!
She did not know how to ride a bike when she bought KTM Duke. She convinced her parents she had learnt how to ride whilst she knew only what YouTube could offer as lessons/tutorials. Some eddies think the max speed she has reached on the Duke is 110 kmph. She wears sweatpants to college every day and has the softest hair. Her description of long hair is probably 4-5 inches beyond which she must cut it short. She secretly enjoys ‘non-veg’ (it’s a secret dear reader, don’t you dare mention it anywhere). She goes to Kanchitota for an internet-free weekend.
She is either too quiet or too talkative. She is so loved by everyone who meets her that her neighbours give her any special dish they prepare at home. She can do anything for biryani except going alone to the counter to order it. In fact, she can’t even go to the washroom alone. She thoroughly enjoys making memes on herself.
As a kid, Rey shaved her eyebrows once and that’s why she doesn’t have them anymore. She is the proud flag-bearer of ‘namgella yaar biltare’ but she’s got game like no one else. Her guilty pleasure is watching trash Netflix chick flicks and Bollywood movies. The kind of trash you must hide it under the trash bin. She wanted to be a strong independent woman and explore the world. If you have any last-minute plans, the only one up for it will be Reyyy!!! She is a crazy and wholesome senior on the board.
