ABOUT US
The Editorial Board of JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru.
The Editorial Board is a student literature club responsible for bringing out ‘Jayzine’, our university's annual magazine. We take pride in organizing ||Shabd||, the only literary fest held by an engineering college in Karnataka. Working under the guidance of Dr. Vanishri Arun, we are a small crew of about twenty-five caffeine-fuelled comrades. Along with celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava, we also conduct various other events like Mindspeak and Aralikatte. It is our firm belief that a creative outlet is vital for students to maintain a sense of balance in their lives. With this in mind, we have created a platform for them to hone their artistic capabilities.

Meet the CrewWhat We Do
We argue over where we'll be going for our next trip and if naming our vehicles and laptops is considered normal. We love hating on pigeons and taking embarassing pictures of each other for no reason at all. In short, we do stuff. Also, we conduct ||SHABD|| and publish Jayzine.

Dr. Vanishri Arun
Always calm and ready to guide and help, Dr. Vanishri Arun is the current Staff Coordinator for The Editorial Board. She received her Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering and Master of Technology in Software Engineering from SJCE and PhD from VTU in the area of Biomedical Informatics.
At present, she is working in the capacity of Associate Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering and Associate Dean - Academic (Publications) at JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru, India. Her research interests include Biomedical Informatics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Data Analytics using Statistical methods.
Dr. S. K. Prasad
Ex-Coordinator
Generations of Eddies have passed under the guidance of this quick-witted, enthusiastic and overwhelmingly supportive professor. Dr. S. K. Prasad was the Staff Coordinator of The Editorial Board for over a decade and played a huge role in helping us reach where we are today.
Currently working as professor in VVCE, he is a former Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, JSSSTU. He graduated from University of Mysuru (SJCE) and later obtained his Master’s Degree from IIT Kanpur and Doctoral Degree from University of Tokyo, Japan. His area of specialisation includes Earthquake and Geotechnical engineering.
